How do I play?

Welcome to the world of APES.IO! Anyone can play the game for free without an account. Simply just access https://apes.io to get started by playing as a Guest. Optionally, you can create an account.

🦧 Getting Started

Congratulations, you've already entered the world of APES.IO! Once you see this screen like the one above, you can simply click anywhere to drop from the sky and dive in. Land anywhere and look for magic wands to defend yourself. The KONG can control the madness circle, make sure you stay within the circle on your minimap. Find the KONG and steal their crown and rule the world!

🎮 Controls

• WASD to move
• Mouse to aim
• Shift to roll
• Space to jump / climb
• Left Click to shoot
• Right Click / V to zoom
• E to pick up items
• Tab - to open inventory and craft wands
• M to open map
• 1 + 2 OR Mouse Wheel to switch wands

🏆 Game Objective

APES.IO is currently an Endless Battle Royale / Survival game in which you survive by exploring the map and look for items and wands to become more powerful.

The madness will slowly narrow around the Kong's position, keep an eye on it using the map.

🔴 AVOID THE RED -- Within the red areas is the madness, you will start taking damage being inside of these areas.

⚪ STAY WITHIN THE WHITE CIRCLE -- This circle is where the madness will stop next. You'll be safe for a while inside of it, but you're free to venture outside of it if you're careful.

🟡 FIND THE KONG IN THE YELLOW CIRCLE -- The Kong can control and move the madness as they move around the map. The YELLOW CIRCLE is the area you can find the Kong. Take them down and steal their crown!

🪄 Configuring Wands

You can craft and modify wands to make your wand much more stronger and powerful, find spawned wands around the map, then hold TAB. Hover over the different buffs and spells and view what the buffs are applied to these wants and click and drag them around from wand to wand.

Try out different configurations to see what works the best for you! You can find drops around the map as follows. You can also find health (hearts) to replenish your HP!
